Experiencia fantástica: My husband, a good friend, and I just travelled to Los Algodones for 3 days, where both of them had dental work done over a couple of days at Oasis Dental. We are all fans! Not only were the dentists skilled, equipped with cutting edge technology, and performing needed work at a fraction of U.S. costs, the whole experience was well streamlined. Dental specialists would be consulted and referrals made for appointments the same day, or the next. By making arrangements in advance through e-mailing Liz in their office, we were also able to stay in 2 of the 7 lodging rooms just upstairs from the small clinic, and get taken to and from the Phoenix airport (a 3 hour drive) via Oasis' custom shuttle service. With Yadira as expert and companionable shuttle driver, both drives were enjoyable and went swiftly. The staff at Oasis were warm and friendly in a relaxed way, most speaking English fluently, and ready to assist with any questions. The town of Los Algodones is somewhat small and funky, one could say charmingly unique, packed with dental and optical clinics, pharmacies, eager street vendors (who all pack up at 4 pm), and not a whole lot else. If you can make it in late September or October, temperatures are generally moderate then, and you can beat the snowbird rush which keeps them busiest from mid-November through March. Thank you to the folks at Oasis who have given us reason to look forward to going back to the dentist (strange as that sounds), if future work is needed.
